As times are hard and everyone is depressed about money problems, I would like to take a few minutes to talk about a bright spot in our dark days of financial crisis. Dentyne. Yes, the gum. Actually this does not really have much to do with gum at all. But their website and current ads are a good reminder of what is really more important than mutual funds and credit cards. Every time I walk on to an El train plastered with their campaign to "make face time", I feel the need to call my parents, curl up on the couch with my roommates, or go out to eat with my bestie. After all, isn't money just a tool to keep everything in our lives working while we are actually out living?
If you haven't seen the ads, I really suggest that you ride around on the CTA until you find them, or at least check out the website. After you do that, spend some time with the people in your life. Check out financialfitness.depaul.edu for some advice on cheap entertainment and don't forget to put some of the money that you save into that emergency fund.

Bravo, love!
We wont be able to overcome this poor financial time by just feeling sorry for ourselves. We all need to do our part by having a good time and spending a little money.
P.S. I also enjoyed the ads and acquired a set for myself
